Analyze

Before you start optimizing, first analyze your current position and determine your focus.

Involve your Teacher Support in this phase or even have them facilitate the entire process. They are trained to do this.

TU/e has proposed a set of dimensions to provide a structured framework for understanding and implementing CBL effectively. The combination of these dimensions can vary depending on interests, motivations, context, resources and the type of course you are working with. This is why TU/e innovation Space has developed the CBL Aspiration Wheel to identify which CBL dimensions you can best focus on, based on the specifics of your situation.

TO DO

Download the CBL Aspirations Wheel. Read the instructions and fill out the tool.

The Design Brief will help you complete the analysis phase and make decisions. You'll summarize what you are planning to do and collaboratively create an action plan for the design process.

TO DO

Download the Design Brief Template for Optimizing my CBL Course and answer the questions. Make sure all team members agree on the design brief as it is the backbone of the design phase.
